Since our last update in November, we have been like a duck swimming across a lake. Not much to see above the water, but lots going on underneath. Specifically, our search partners (Knightsbridge Robertson Surette, [KBRS]) have been actively speaking with potential candidates across Canada and beyond.

Presidential Search Committee Update – November 22, 2016

At the annual fall Board meeting, I was privileged to be elected by Acadia University’s Governing Board as Chair of Acadia University’s Board of Governors, and thus step into the important role of Chair of the Presidential Search Committee. The Board has been incredibly fortunate to have had the committed and capable leadership of Paul Jewer (’94) who began his term as Board Chair in October 2009 and will continue to serve as a key member of the Presidential Search Committee and the Board of Governors. We thank Paul wholeheartedly for his continued dedication to Acadia.

Presidential Search Committee Update October 20th 2016

It has been a busy month for the Presidential Search Committee as we have dived deeply into our work.

To begin, the Presidential Search Committee (PSC) met with our search consultant partners, Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette (KBRS) and spent the better part of 2 days preparing for the search.  During this period, we spent time with President Ivany to learn what it is like to be the President of Acadia.  He shared his views on the challenges and opportunities facing the institution and gave us a glimpse into his daily activities.
